coverThe session will bring together private sector, donors, governments and other practitioners to share insights on
the following:

  • Assessing the outcomes of GSA’s public private partnership model
  • Exploring the connection between supply availability and investment into restoration and climate adaptation
  • Highlighting the positive impact on job creation for rural youth
  • Leveraging global trade advocacy to boost demand for climate resilient products
  • Shaping policy through collaborative engagement between government and private sector

Private sector participation has long been seen as key for successful large scale restoration from a financing perspective or to create income and jobs for the youth. The session will explore the ‘black box’ of private sector participation and look at the different roles the privatesector can play in restoration, and what are the key partnership mechanisms to fulfil these roles and unlock its full potential.

Speakers representing the shea industry will come from private sector and legal companies, government, institutions and donor organisations.
