The Gala of Hope at the seventh meeting of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) celebrated concrete achievements for the planet, bringing ecosystem restoration and environmental leadership into the global spotlight.

During the evening, we announced the new UN World Restoration Flagships and unveiled the 2025 UN Champions of the Earth for Climate Change, alongside powerful performances and inspiring voices from around the world. The programme featured exclusive video footage from the planet’s frontiers of hope, UN leaders, artists, and advocates working to bring nature back.

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030 , led by the United Nations Environment Programme, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and its partners, covers terrestrial as well as coastal and marine ecosystems.
