“Generation Restoration, in action” is a capacity building session to be delivered as a side event that will build youth understanding of environmental degradation and the need for ecosystem restoration, whilst equipping them with the skills needed to restore environments in their respective regions.
The side event will draw key lessons from youth-led ecosystem restoration for repairing nature and supporting communities. Through a series of presentations, participants will learn about the ecological principles underpinning ecosystem restoration and the technical considerations for cost-effective restoration from planning to feasibility assessments to method selection to monitoring.
The workshop will unpack financial and other resources as well as existing restoration networks available to young restoration practitioners, showcasing their application through local-scale case studies.
This event is organized and run by youth for youth.
