Two years after the launch of AIM4Forests on Earth Day 2023, join FAO in celebrating the remarkable strides made in forest monitoring and restoration—and unveiling the next frontier in ecosystem stewardship. At Earth Day 2025, the FAO Forestry Division and its partners will showcase how innovative monitoring tools have empowered countries to detect deforestation, reduce forest degradation, and drive restoration initiatives worldwide. 

Building on this success, FAO is proud to introduce AIM4NatuRe – a new project designed to expand monitoring support beyond forests. With AIM4NatuRe, countries and Indigenous Peoples will benefit from advanced tools and methodologies to track broader ecosystem and biodiversity restoration efforts, including vital freshwater systems.
