Since 2018, this initiative has been turning the degraded drylands across the Sahel region into a lifeline for food security, using water-harvesting infrastructure, agroforestry, zaï pits, stone bunds and native species planting, rebuilding soil health and reviving food production for millions of people even as the region's food crisis deepens. 

School feeding, nutrition support and new livelihoods have also been delivered, helping communities withstand drought, conflict and climate shocks. By 2030, the initiative aims to scale up further, boosting biodiversity and locking away significant carbon.
